Career Exploration Visit Reflection

The trip to EA was fun, but the tour could of been better. The tour guide, Julie Wynn was obiously in a rush and didn’t give a good tour in my opinion. To be honest, she was kind of informative about the company history but her tour/presentation in general was garbage. The whole tour she was on her Blackberry, probably on Twitter or Myspace.

Yup thats her ^, the best tour guide ever.
To continue on, the EA headquarters is a awesome place. They have game consoles and arcade machines like in every room or corner, because the employees need to be relaxed to work. The work atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed, with couches and video games everywhere.
The HQ had really cool spots like the courtyard, the basketball court/multipurpose room and the workout room. Also, they had a little theatre/presentation room that was pretty cool. The presentation that was given to us was kind of informative, the man, which I forgot his name, was very boring and looked like he wasn’t prepared.
After the presentation in the little theatre the tour was basically over, Ms. Wynn was wrapping up the tour by letting us shop in the EA store for only like 10 or 20 minutes. But the store was a gamers heaven, each game either 20 or 10 dollars each. We were splurging.
To sum up the field trip, we ate at the strip mall right across the street, they didn’t really have a broad food selection, but they had some alright places. I ordered some Japanese food, it was super grub. Other people grubbed on Togo’s Sandwiches and Tacos(make me a taco). That was the best part of the field trip.
